Crystal Forest by Shellina Winkler and Solkide Auer

Since October 2009 we have started a collaboration to create immersive installations. Our aim is to invole people in interacting with our works, experiencing sensations, feelings, ideas and messages we put in them.
Crystal Forest is our brand new collaborative work.
Take a walk through an imaginary woods of lights.



Dall'ottobre 2009 abbiamo iniziato una collaborare nel creare installazioni.
Il nostro scopo e' di coinvolgere direttamente le persone a interagire con i nostri lavori sperimentando le sensazioni, sentimenti, idee e messaggi che abbiamo messo in loro.
Crystal forest è il nostro nuovo lavoro.

THE BIG HOUSE

THE BIG HOUSE

Article 27 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states:

"Everyone has the right freely to participate in the cultural life of the community, to enjoy the arts and to share in scientific advancement and its benefits."

THE BIG HOUSE is Caerleon's new multi-artist project that celebrates the freedoms bestowed upon all humans being by the Universal Delclaration of Human Rights which celebrates it's 61's anniversary on December 10th..

THE BIG HOUSE, slang for prison, is just that -- A bleak gray institution surrounded by an oversized barbed wire fence and four guard towers that keep watch on 24 prison cells in which artists from around the world have created art installations that take on the 30 articles from the Universal Declaration of Human rights.

Incorporating various artistic styles and interpretations, including streaming video, the "imprisoned" artists demonstrate how our creative impulses, imaginations and spirit can liberate us from all prisons -- whether they be physical, political, social, economical or even virtual.
